HOPE IN LAMENT
week of hope and Lament
2-6 August
The world changed overnight with the unexpected pandemic. We waded through anxieties, lockdowns, economic impact, and loss of loved ones. Amidst this, some nations have undergone political turmoil, coups, and natural disasters that have added to our suffering.
The psalmists and prophets often openly lamented before God. They remembered again who our God is and anchored their hopes in him.
As a global family, we want to do the same. From 2-6 August we invite you to seek the Lord with us, bringing our anxieties and cries of lament before him.
We will host resources on IFES Connect, our new online gathering space for the IFES family. Staff, students, and supporters are all welcome to join IFES Connect. Once your request to join is approved, visit the Lament in Hope group, to help you pray through the week. This group will give you access to all resources, Zoom links, and opportunities to share how God is meeting you through the week. It will also include a Zoom prayer room open from Monday-Thursday.
We look forward to praying with you.
