Emerging Evangelists Network (EEN)

Calling – Character – Scripture – Proclamation – Mission – Multiplication
Developing emerging evangelists for effective gospel proclamation on campus
for national IFES movements in Europe.
Does your movement struggle to dedicate the time and resources to identifying and developing gifted evangelistic speakers? Perhaps you’d love to explore for yourself whether God is calling you to this ministry? As IFES Europe‘s Emerging Evangelists Network, in association with FEUER, we’re here to help.
From gifted communicator to equipped evangelist
We don’t just train people to give better talks. Our goal is to form biblically rooted, Christ centred evangelists whose character, theology and proclamation are in alignment.
We provide focus: we get to know network members personally, keeping in regular contact with them and praying for them through this period of training.
We offer individual development to members, encouraging and developing character, training them in skills and methods (sometimes with the help of FEUER conference trainers).
We give members real life mission opportunities where they can put their training into practice during
actual university missions.
We support the national movement, developing
individual evangelists for your specific context.

More than an evangelism training course
Each EEN cohort offers a year of formation, practice, mission and fellowship that includes:
- Monthly community meet ups
Nine online meetings throughout the academic year create a supportive learning community and help each member stay on track. - Skills development: writing and presenting evangelistic talks
Each participant will prepare and present two evangelistic talks and receive feedback on both from FEUER trainers. A key element of this is our twice-yearly online coaching hub evenings. - Individual mentoring
Because character is just as important as skills and methods, we focus on developing both, through mentoring and also connecting members with experienced evangelists. - In-person formation
We have the opportunity to meet up in person several times a year, at an Emerging Evangelists residential retreat and during the training missions. - Interaction with our wider fellowship
As part of FEUER – the Fellowship of Evangelists for the Universities of Europe.
EEN is a proper community of people who will inspire you to keep taking Jesus and the gospel seriously, and invest in sharing it.

We study
Scripture and the gospel
So that we experience Christ deeply for ourselves, and learn to communicate the richness of the gospel with passion and love for others.
We focus on
Heart, character and life
As we grow in faith, discipleship, motives and integrity, our message is authenticated by how we live our lives.
We develop skills in
Evangelism and proclamation
We’ll learn to speak from scripture, to ask and answer questions, to listen well, so we can present a persuasive gospel message in the university context.
We make time for
Prayer and encouragement
Together we’ll pray for Europe and for student mission, and encourage one another as a community of emerging evangelists.

Who is the Emerging Evangelist Network for?
EEN is for staff workers, graduates and student leaders who would like to explore their calling and gifting as evangelists. Perhaps God is already using you in evangelistic speaking – or maybe you would like just to test if this is God’s will for you? We’ve found that God calls all kinds of people to university evangelism: our current cohort includes a student leader, an artist, a radio presenter, an accountant, a medical doctor, an international student worker and a general secretary of an IFES Europe movement.
All EEN members come with the blessing and recommendation of the local movement general secretary or staff worker.
What’s the time commitment for the 2026-27 cohort?
