Welcome!

Welcome to the first issue of Conexión — a new, monthly, online magazine with articles, stories and interviews keeping you updated with everything happening across the IFES movement.

But why launch Conexión?

With such a diverse organisation, linking so many people, in such a vast array of contexts, it makes sense to have a publication telling the story — and stories — of the organisation.

We hope Conexión — which replaces This month in IFES — will keep you updated and informed, excite you about the work and impact of IFES, and inspire you with stories of hope and change. We want it to be a publication for students, staff and supporters, and we look forward to your feedback and contributions.

In this first edition, we talk to Kehinde Ojo, Program Director of the IFES Indigenous Support Development program, and find out how this ministry is enabling national movements to recruit and support new staff.

We also have an interview with Michael Wear, learning how his passion for politics led him to a role working with President Obama in the White House, resourcing faith communities to serve those in need.

This issue also asks how we are reaching the nations through our universities, considers how Christian principles can give a good return on investment, and we hear from IFES General Secretary, Daniel Bourdanné, on his reflections on prayer and generosity.

Enjoy!
