BRING IN THE HARVEST!
Equip workers in West Africa
MATCHING GIFT OPPORTUNITY!
How would you feel if vast, ripe fields of crops were at risk of being abandoned, wasted for lack of labourers to gather in the harvest? How would you react?
When Jesus saw a plentiful spiritual harvest that lacked workers, he was deeply moved – and stirred to action. He sent out his apprentices (Matthew 9:35—10:5).
With the same heart and vision, will you echo the response of our master?
Will you equip students and staff workers in West Africa to bring in their vast harvest?
Give today and your gift could have twice the impact.
Double the Harvest!
It’s estimated that over the next 15 years, the number of young Africans completing secondary or tertiary education will more than double, from 103 to 240 million (UNESCO, 2024). This is a pivotal time!
This is a huge harvest field, containing many of Africa’s future leaders.
This generation will fill parliaments and pulpits, run businesses and schools, shape art and media, and lead churches across the continent – and the globe.
Locally-led IFES movements are equipping students and staff to gather in the harvest. And you have the opportunity to partner with them.
“In our students’ hands lies not just their own future, but the future of our nations, churches, and continent. Every investment in them is an investment in God’s kingdom, a brick in tomorrow’s foundation.”
A LEADER OF IFES MINISTRY IN AFRICA

Will you lay a brick? Will you help raise up a worker for the harvest?
Double Your Action?
What’s more, if you’re giving to IFES for the first time, or for the first time in a while (that’s 3+ years), then for every brick you choose to lay, two will be laid; for every worker you choose to train, two will be trained.
This is because a generous trust is matching gifts for IFES ministry in West Africa made by new or returning donors.
So, if that’s you, your contribution will count for double – all the way until that fund reaches £55,000.
Equip Workers like Josué

When Josué arrived at university, he never imagined how God could use him in this burgeoning harvest field. But today, he’s a staff worker with the IFES movement in Mali (GBEEM). Josué recently trained and supported a student group in Bankass, where surrounding villages were the target of deadly extremist attacks in 2022.

As a new student, Josué was intrigued by an invitation for Christian students to gather at the lecture hall. When he attended, he realised the influence they could have in the secular academic environment of their Muslim-majority country.
Josué took on responsibilities (treasurer, then secretary) and participated in a 30-day mission trip to western Mali. When he furthered his studies at the École Normale Supérieure and discovered no IFES group, he launched one!
With such experience and vision, Josué joined the local staff team. And through IFES initiatives like the African Center for Contemporary Christianity (CACC), he’s continued to develop:
I’ve been pushed to grow in creativity, problem solving, and collaborative mission. My spiritual life has grown and my local church sees me as a valuable member.
Your Part in the Harvest
Josué’s personal progress and ministry impact in Mali is typical of those shaped by IFES ministry – whether through scripture engagement skills, leadership initiatives, or help with raising indigenous support.

But he says this work needs more support – without it, the explosive growth of universities will leave many unreached.
There’s a huge need for mission work, but we lack financial resources. Staff are sometimes in difficult circumstances. Seeing others partner with us and support a West African movement is a great joy.
Remember: if you’ve not given before or for 3+ years, a gift today can help reach and raise not only one more student like Josué, but TWO!
With £50 you could help a student dive deep into God’s Word at an IFES conference.
With £100 you could enable IFES staff to deliver empowering workshops that equip movements to raise indigenous support.
With £200 you could invest in tomorrow’s leaders with in-person CACC training.
There are thousands more like Josué – students who are ready to grow, ready to lead, ready to serve.
But time is short.
The student world is growing so fast that, without your urgent action, a generation of young leaders will graduate unreached and unprepared to respond to what God is doing in Africa and across the world.
Will your heart and vision move you to take action today?
Let’s bring in the harvest!
Your gift will equip students and staff in IFES national movements in West Africa, including those that are part of the English and Portuguese-speaking Africa and Francophone Africa regions.
