As exemplary ambassadors for Christ, we must share God&#8217;s priceless love with those around us.\u201d&nbsp;<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Victoire was now ready to share Christ\u2019s living waters with the thirsty on her campus in Togo. But where did this passion come from?&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In August, she joined 200 others from around the country to participate in the National Camp-Congress of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/gbustogo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GBUST<\/a>, the IFES movement in Togo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Josu\u00e9 Aziadekey, GBUST General Secretary, says such gatherings in the <a href=\"https:\/\/ifesworld.org\/en\/region\/francophoneafrica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Francophone Africa region<\/a> are vital for strengthening mission and building unity. He adds, \u201cthey are much more than events: they are catalysts for transformation and renewal\u201d. Participants often travel long distances, sometimes from areas targeted by terrorists.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-heading wp-elements-c6ae6cbc8e972b12e82802f7c232276c\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-francophone-africa-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-c6ae6cbc8e972b12e82802f7c232276c\"><strong>Ready to Receive<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Togo, many students arrived at camp from challenging situations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the northern zone bordering Burkina Faso, GBUST small groups have had to close due to security concerns, while other students across the country are seeing the rise of materialism and spiritual indifference. And in the name of secularism, some schools and universities are increasingly resistant to GBU activities on campus.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through a week of prayer, Bible studies, and workshops, students were refreshed and equipped under the theme \u201cEvery season: a generation of thirsty students \u2013 and a generation of ready messengers.\u201d Discussions tackled contemporary issues such as artificial intelligence, youth, and sexuality. Seeing how Scripture addresses these topics, the students grasped how impactful GBUST Bible groups can be for society.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through the camp\u2019s Congress, the movement also received Josu\u00e9 as its new General Secretary \u2013 a healthy transition that boosted the movement\u2019s momentum and its readiness to face new challenges.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-heading wp-elements-5d75610ddb188447d98b0b2f05e23569\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-francophone-africa-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-5d75610ddb188447d98b0b2f05e23569\"><strong>Ready to Go<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students departed refreshed, ready for service:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cAs young Christians, we must be excellent in our studies and professional lives. And we must live well among those who don\u2019t know God so that they would want to know Christ. Our words should bring happiness and not break other people&#8217;s hearts.\u201d<\/em> Welborn&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cOur universities aren\u2019t always up to the task of producing leaders who will benefit our nations. We must return to the fundamental principles of the gospel<\/em><em>, <\/em><em>putting aside distractions and focusing on our mission. I learned that as Christians we should bring the light of Christ to our country\u2019s challenges.<\/em><em>\u201d<\/em> Elise&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With Christ\u2019s living waters in them, here are two more messengers now ready to serve the thirsty.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-heading wp-elements-559b920633803f86d734eb756edb72a3\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-francophone-africa-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-559b920633803f86d734eb756edb72a3\"><strong>Pray<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"wp-block block-core-list-item\">\n<li>Praise God with GBUST for his work through 50 years of student ministry in Togo. Give thanks for his work at the camp and his provision of Josu\u00e9 as the new General Secretary.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"wp-block block-core-list-item\">\n<li>Pray for Victoire, Welborn, Elise, and the other students at camp \u2013 that they will continue to find refreshment in God as they \u201cshare God\u2019s love\u201d, \u201cspeak uplifting words\u201d, and \u201cbring Christ\u2019s light\u201d \u2013 that they will spread renewal to GBUST groups, universities, and society.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"wp-block block-core-list-item\">\n<li>On 1-9 August 2025, delegates from all IFES movements in Francophone Africa will gather in C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire for the seventh <a href=\"https:\/\/ifesworld.org\/fr\/panaf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pan-African Conference (PANAF<\/a>).
