When Josu\u00e9 was four years old, his parents divorced, with his mother leaving to rebuild her life elsewhere; when Nattanaelys was nine, her father was murdered.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As they finished school, both had high hopes for their university studies, but neither were able to enrol on the course they desired. Instead, they ended up studying physiotherapy at the Sim\u00f3n Rodr\u00edguez Experimental University in Marig\u00fcitar.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-heading wp-elements-952769b9b9ec23894ad086d1e5e87459\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-latin-america-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-952769b9b9ec23894ad086d1e5e87459\"><strong>Different Outlooks<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite these difficult shared experiences, they had vastly different perspectives on life.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nattanaelys had a family who loved the Lord. Growing up as part of an evangelical church, she was shaped by biblical teaching. Through an aunt, she was introduced from an early age to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile.php?id=100072692370174\">MUEVE<\/a>, the IFES movement in Venezuela. All this gave her a sense of purpose:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-quote is-style-large is-style-plain\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-style-plain is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph wp-elements-a85151c1726a9d99ffa27f392b29f6d0\">\n<p class=\"has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color has-sm-font-size wp-elements-a85151c1726a9d99ffa27f392b29f6d0 wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cDue to the situation in the country, I couldn\u2019t study the career I really wanted. But my objective at university was still clear: to present the hope of Jesus to my classmates.\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Josu\u00e9 entered university in a wholly different state of mind. While growing up with his grandparents, he started to do everything alone. He had some good friends, but gradually he became emotionally detached. Many labelled him as \u201ccold and distant\u201d \u2013 and he started to believe it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-quote is-style-large is-style-plain\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-style-plain is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph wp-elements-e33d384265c33bc467247a3661bf4081\">\n<p class=\"has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color has-sm-font-size wp-elements-e33d384265c33bc467247a3661bf4081 wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cI pursued intellect to compensate for the emptiness that tormented me. But I knew what was going on inside: I didn&#8217;t know what love was. I didn&#8217;t even have a concept of what it was.\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-heading wp-elements-33dfe1d614c8b855b7b37c674b161a45\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-latin-america-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-33dfe1d614c8b855b7b37c674b161a45\"><strong>A Gentle Invitation with a Powerful Effect<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As nothing more than classmates, Nattanaelys had no idea what Josu\u00e9 was going through. Nevertheless, true to her purpose, she decided to invite him to a MUEVE event. He recalls:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-quote is-style-large is-style-plain\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-style-plain is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph wp-elements-83669b42e56a53d0d4e18b40c039f0c9\">\n<p class=\"has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color has-sm-font-size wp-elements-83669b42e56a53d0d4e18b40c039f0c9 wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cI didn\u2019t even know her name, but she came over to me. Very subtly, and with a touch of embarrassment, she asked me if I wanted to take part. When I agreed, I was shocked to hear that the event was called \u2018Crazy things of Love\u2019.\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Intrigued by what he heard that day, Josu\u00e9 continued to attend MUEVE Bible studies, prayer spaces, and events. Then, he was ready:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-quote is-style-large is-style-plain\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-style-plain is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph wp-elements-2b178808758c9846001fc7990d16fd4a\">\n<p class=\"has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color has-sm-font-size wp-elements-2b178808758c9846001fc7990d16fd4a wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cI took the step of giving my life to the One who is the source of inexhaustible love.\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nattanaelys concludes: <em>\u201cI\u2019m so grateful<\/em><em> \u2013 <\/em><em>through that MUEVE event<\/em><em>, <\/em><em>Josu\u00e9 is today my brother in faith and friend.\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-heading wp-elements-917d743b59fd3c74593f4ab6ec22e9ee\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-latin-america-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-917d743b59fd3c74593f4ab6ec22e9ee\"><strong>Pray<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-columns\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\"><div class=\"wp-block block-core-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"wp-block block-core-list-item\">\n<li><strong>Give thanks<\/strong> for the way God used Nattanaelys\u2019s gentle yet courageous invitation to draw Josu\u00e9 into \u201cinexhaustible love\u201d. Ask that all students in MUEVE will share her commitment, reach out to their classmates, and see God at work.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"wp-block block-core-list-item\">\n<li>Both Nattanaelys and Josu\u00e9 were selected to participate in an IFES subregional gathering, offering fellowship and training for students from Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Cuba.
