{"id":11992,"date":"2020-04-28T14:12:00","date_gmt":"2020-04-28T13:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ifesworld.org\/?post_type=prayerline&#038;p=11992"},"modified":"2020-04-28T14:11:49","modified_gmt":"2020-04-28T13:11:49","slug":"international-students-share-jesus-through-virtual-storytelling","status":"publish","type":"prayerline","link":"https:\/\/ifesworld.org\/en\/prayerline\/international-students-share-jesus-through-virtual-storytelling\/","title":{"rendered":"International students share Jesus through virtual storytelling"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-md-font-size has-accent-light-color wp-block-paragraph\">Ling, a Christian international student from Asia, learned the value of storytelling in her InterVarsity\/USA international student fellowship. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She read that God commanded the Israelites to \u2018remember\u2019 and constantly share their testimony of how God had delivered them. So Ling decided that each week through video calls she would share with her mother stories of how God was working in her life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before long Ling\u2019s brother wanted to hear more about Jesus too. They met virtually each Friday and Ling shared stories of Jesus\u2019 miracles and teaching. Then her sister joined their Bible discussions! Within three months, Ling\u2019s mother, brother, and sister all decided to follow Jesus. Ling has continued discipling them through video calls.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These days are particularly challenging for international students who are away from their families and unable to fly home. But through technology, they can stay in contact with those back home \u2013 and even lead family members to know Jesus! <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let\u2019s pray for them this week.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Thank God for Ling\u2019s commitment to sharing stories of Jesus with her family through video calls, and praise God for His saving work in their lives.<\/li><li>Pray for international students in the USA struggling with anxiety and loneliness to find peace and comfort in Christ.
