‘All the believers were one in heart and mind’.
Global Generosity Day is a chance for students and supporters around the world to stand together as IFES, through giving whatever they have to give to empower those students who need it.
On 9 March 2022, we invite you to stand up and be counted as part of our worldwide fellowship, one in heart and mind, by giving generously.
We’re seeking 200 donors worldwide to support projects across 9 regions – projects which will strengthen students in planting new movements, leading existing groups, and living well for Jesus after university.
Don’t have much to give right now? This day is about solidarity. Even the smallest amount sends a signal: we stand together. No student living for Jesus is ever alone.
Join with us in expressing global solidarity with your brothers and sisters, and wait with us for the wonderful things God can do with the unity of his people.
Our Theme: One in Heart and Mind.
Across all nations, we are one body of Christ, and our purpose is to pour out our lives in doing justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly with our God.
Acts 4 depicts the early church living this out. As ‘with great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus’, a power outside of human origin affected those believers in Jerusalem: ‘God’s grace was … powerfully at work in them all’.
How did they respond to this powerfully working grace? What did it produce among them? They ‘shared everything they had’, such that ‘there were no needy persons among them’. Knowing the victorious truth of the resurrection of Jesus, and as the grace of God transformed them, they were able to let go, making the needs of others their priority, glorifying God.
This might feel worlds and worlds away from your reality. But it doesn’t happen when people make their best efforts. It happens when God’s grace is powerfully at work.
On 9 March, we invite students and supporters everywhere – from Canada to Croatia to Cameroon to Cambodia – to be one in heart and mind. Whoever you are, and whatever you’ve got to give, will you support your peers in other places?
What am I giving to?
For this Global Generosity Day, we’re highlighting 10 projects around the world that will empower students and graduates as witnesses for Christ, including:
