Living stones to reconstruct Guinea
They’ve already had four camps at the beginning of July. Now, from 29 July to 4 August, GBEEG Guinea will have the fifth camp in Conakry. They hope to there will be about 500 to 600 participants, despite the current economic difficulties. The main theme of all meetings is from Nehemiah 2:18: Let us rise and build.
A member of staff in Guinea writes: ‘Following the example of Nehemiah, we are like living stones in the reconstruction of our nation of Guinea. Much remains to be desired in the lives of our churches and our country. We pray for a special visitation from our God to see transformation in our hearts.’
As you pray for students attending this camp, please pray too for those who have attended the previous camps, that they will not forget what they have experienced and learned.
Summer with GBU Spain
GBU Spain is holding three camps in the next few weeks. The theme of the high school camp (22-29 July) will be Followers – Whom do you follow? Whom would you like to follow? What are you waiting for?
For university students there are two opportunities to learn and grow this summer. For leaders, a leadership and mission camp from 19-23 July was just held. Students looked at the life of Elijah as they focused on transforming faith. Following this, the national camp for all students is now underway (23-30 July). Transforming power is the theme, based on the book of Romans.
Please pray that all three camps might indeed transform the lives of those who attend!
South Korea - calling, awakening, and reunion
IVCF South Korea will hold its National Alumni Conference from 1-4 August. They are expecting 500+ alumni and their families, and the theme of the conference is Calling, Awakening, and Reunion.
It has been 13 years since their last alumni conference. Their prayer requests are that each family and participant would be renewed through God’s word and as they fellowship with one another. Pray too as IVCF seeks ‘greater momentum for more active ministry among alumni’.
